March, 2008 For the past few months I have been slowly changing the look of my home. My original goal was to create a rustic look for my home filled with antiques from my family and with things that I had made myself. Since that time, I’ve started going on monthly road trips with my sister-in-law hitting local antique stores. I have also grabbed some paint and made some changes here and there. Part 2: My Property

April 4, 2008 Here is an aerial view of my property from ). Somewhere in the house I have a picture of the house prior to our renovations. Originally the house was “one room” deep. We pretty much doubled the size by adding a living room and bathroom downstairs, 2 bedrooms upstairs and the basement area which is now our woodworking shop.

Part 3: "Eclectic" Style

Jan. 27, 2009 Last week, I held the January Sunrise Gathering but due to the extreme cold, we chose to cancel the tipi plan and move indoors. My guests quickly labeled my home decor style as “eclectic”. Perhaps it is the mix of antiques and modern items in my home… or the “lush green” colours of the wall (ok, it’s almost fluorescent colour) mixed with a barn beam from my great-grandfather’s barn and shelves made from a slab of spalted maple.
