Randy Man's Room

Good Morning Ladies and Gents,

AS I explained in my earlier post ( http://homerefurbers.com/projects/338 ), I gave my son his own room (my old room).

This was a ton of fun, but time consuming to do. The great part is, with Red, White, and Blue, I hope I don’t have to paint his room again for quite sometime.

I wanted to do a Handy Manny theme, but couldn’t find everything I needed. So, I decided on “Cars” instead.

My ex had picked the ugliest shade of green for our room, so I was very glad to get it off the walls. How ever, I needed a couple of coats of primer on the walls first so that the green wouldn’t bleed through.
I started by painting the center white line. I then struck a pencil line and taped it. ( If you look real close in pic 3, you can see the pencil line.)

I used three coats of primer, than three coats of the Behr premiume paint. I used a pre-glued border and some wall stickers from Home Depot. They even had a “Cars” light switch cover.

I have had his room finished for about a month and he is still saying “Tanks, DaDay”

Life is sweet!

Looks really nice. I’m sure your son will enjoy his new room with the car’s theme. Good job.
