Hey Refurbers,
Sorry for skipping ahead but I have long since upholstered the couch I was stripping in the other post. I didn’t have a camera crew available (my 11 year old daughter) and I needed both hands for the work.
You knew There was some sewing invloved in upholstery. I figured we could start with a throw pillow. In my case, they are back cushions to that couch I upholstered.

My first adventure in refurbishing was in 1974. I added a 17×27 addition to my ranch style home in Northfield Village, Ohio. I built it myself with the help of friends and a few issues of Time Do It Yourself magazines. These were very popular at the time and extremely helpful. The addition had a cathedral ceiling, main room 17×19, exposed beam, an 8×13 laundry room, in ceiling stereo speakers, and recessed lighting. One wall 17ft was an all split brick fireplace. I ripped 2 X 6’s in half, & ran a 1/2” radius on all of the edges.
I also routed a 1/2” deep groove by 1 1/2” wide, to fit the balusters.

I used 2 X 6’s for the railing.
