Hello all. It has been quite a while since I last posted anything here. I am a woodworker at heart, a paper mill worker for money and a home remodeler by necessity. Our home in Florida was built in 1932, and although it is finally paid for, systems are breaking down. It seems whenever we get some money saved for a project we want to do, the house tells us what it needs. Well – the weather in Up-State NY has been very cold lately. We have had a considerable amount of snow. Just to make it fun, we had a few warm days a while back, and even some freezing rain mix. I went to put on my jacket Monday morning, and I spotted water dripping down the wall in our living room! We have a two story Cape….. not a good sign! Yup – ice dam on the front of the house. Water backep up, found it’s way into the soffit, and into the frame of the win...
