If there’s one thing I hate it’s sleeping in a bedroom that’s full of clutter and clothes everywhere. I always try to clear up my bedroom as best I can but unfortunately my boyfriend doesn’t seem to share my sense of tidiness and it always ends up with clothes and what not spread about the room! The awful paneling is starting to deteriorate and it’s time to re-do the bathroom. We’re narrowing in on tiling options (probably 18” cut stone tiles), we already know the flooring, and we’re looking at what to do for fixtures.

My better half is out buying paint for our living room plus some other goodies. Painting, flooring, hardware, trim is done. You may remember that I built the door trim from scratch. The shoe molding is also mine. Baseboards, I bought.

My son has one year of high school left. I have changed my plans for doing the house so we can get his room next.
Years ago I painted a mural on 2 of his walls. The wall paint we keep. I need to touch up the base color here and there but painting will not be a major chore.

Our home today and the story of how we got there.
We bought a piece of land in September 1998 and it was just covered in port jackson (alien trees) and we had to start clearing before we could even get onto the property.
