That old house #11: Yes, this IS the final installment

Now for the details of the remodeling. Original budget: $14k. Final budget: to be determined (right now we are double the original amount). True, I am finished with the kitchen, and I believe she does not have any further plans for the kitchen, but the “house” now became the former kitchen. I think she has enough for me to do for the rest of my life. EVERYTHING was upgraded during this remodel. From the 1/2 dozen different door knobs I bought, to hinges, slides, lights, etc....

Hey Refurbers, Sorry for skipping ahead but I have long since upholstered the couch I was stripping in the other post. I didn’t have a camera crew available (my 11 year old daughter) and I needed both hands for the work. You knew There was some sewing invloved in upholstery. I figured we could start with a throw pillow. In my case, they are back cushions to that couch I upholstered. My daughter and I tried to film this series as best as we could on the I-Phone. Daughters' Bathroom Redo

Okay, just started this project today. The bathroom was still as we decorated it when we moved in 10 years ago. The paint was peeling, caulk was dried and had some mold, the faucet was never quite tight, and some of the fixtures were rusting. I fixed the faucet first. I cut a hole in the closet behind it in the spare bedroom. I got a 14” x 14” plastic door from the HD. I marked out the hole for the door and cut with the utility knife till it fell out.
