Part 1: Demolition
For those familiar with it, this come in the wake of a posting of mine. “Front entry Redo” http://homerefurbers.com/projects/130 So, now my bathroom is in major demo mode. I’ve pulled down the tile, drywall. Removed the tub doors, tub, toilet, vanity, mirror etc. I’ve started ripping up the layers of vinyl flooring. As far as putting things back, I’ve added some electrical. (as well as 3 more circuits for the shop) That’s about it…
Part 2: Progress report
Here’s some progress pictures. Hopefully I can get the photos to work. Here’s where I started, with lovely flower tiles, holes in the wall, rusted tub, poor electrical, vinyl over sticky tile flooring, etc etc etc. Around here I was just about done all the demolition work, and went about repairing and replacing the plumbing. Now the hot water line actually goes to the Hot side of the (new) mixing valve. Novel concept eh? New sub-floor, two layers of 3/4 ply, cement board,...
Part 3: Slowly closing on completion.
Here’s a couple current pictures of my project. Still to do is wainscoting and trim, storage door and storage furniture, mirrors, door T&G ceiling maybe.
