Just in time for the launch of HomeRefurbers, I finished hanging my kitchen cabinets at about midnight last night. After a minor disaster with creating the styles and rails on my router table (which I blogged about here), I am back on track and they are all in place.
I got so anxious that I hung them before staining them, which I think I will finish this weekend (they need a little sanding too). When I do I’ll be sure to post photos in the “project” section. So stay tuned.
I started these cabinets about two years ago in the tiny rustic ‘cabin in the woods’ which my wife and I are renting from my grandparents. When we first moved in I Refurbed the entire small house. I’ll post more photos and stories on my efforts later. But I am pretty proud of the list of things I did: New Roof, New tile kitchen counter tops and sink, new paint every wall, all new electrical, lighting fixtures, plumbing, trim, floors, decks, cabinets, etc.
The one thing that got put off were the doors to the cabinets. But as of last night they are (almost) done! They all fit and work great. Its sooooooooo nice to finally not have to look at all the dishes and pantry food.
Sorry I don’t have photos yet. I should after this weekend.
