Hello,As this is my first blog here I wanted to say I love this site. I have found a lot of great information on here and the netizens appear to be very helpful. Part 2: Framing

So after getting necessary building permit it was onto some prep work. My workshop build is very unusual. That is because I am building a finished room on a 4” concrete slab that is not anchored to the garage foundation and that has no footing. This may be a recipe for disaster but I discussed this with a structural engineer, and 2 foundation contractors. Their attitude was “Its just a workshop? You’ll be fine.” Very reassuring. Part 3: Siding and exterior door and windows

My workshop construction got off to a great start with the help of my whole family. Mom, Dad and my Aunt Mary all pitched in the first kick-off weekend. Then they all went home. Thats when I realized that this project was going to take a while. But with some grit and determination I have all but completed it.
