Living Room Fix-its #1: Fireplace Mantel
Not real sure if I ever posted pictures of our fireplace mantel and its removal. It’s another of those “surprised she has not killed me yet” projects that really needs to get finished. Just can’t figure out what I want to build in its place, besides another mantel. Here is a shot of the fireplace before we finalized and moved in. It’s a south western style in a country farmhouse. Not exactly what I’d consider would fit. It’s also made of nothing more than cardboard tubes and foam. I busted it’s legs and took a few good smacks at it to see how hard it would be to break up.
