“Huh? Wuzzat? I’m still asleep”

“Victoria keeps wondering when you are going to do her room. Can’t you just do it now and get it over with?”

“Yeah Babe I suppose I can.”

Everything else is on hold very suddenly.

Day one – I tried to take some measurements without tripping over her precious collection. I got enough actually to figure out how I’m going to handle the huge problem of storage. After work I went and picked up her flooring and 12 big boxes. NOT ENOUGH!

Tomorrow I’ll pick up paint and trim. Maybe I can get the trim painted in the evening.

Here is what I’m working against.

Garbage pick up is bright and early tomorrow. I knew there was no way to get the demo done in time but I sure wanted the carpet gone.

The wonderful thing is. My little angel helped me get most of her room emptied. Even after I quit for the night, here is what she was doing.

This project has started off just fine!

Day 2. My little angel picked out her paint. We finished most of the demo. We have a little scraping left. She worked really hard again tonight. I am so happy to see this side of her.

Today is a full day. Ceiling complete. It’s good to see that pink disappear.

Walls painted in the base color. The hard part is next. My daughter wants simple murals. I don’t think anything is simple about a mural. On we go.

I’m shocked to know that you really didn’t care for the pink… lol. Congrats on your progress.

I’ll say that I couldn’t WAIT to to get those rollers moving. I bought the really good paint too. One coat was all it took.

The pink Demon has left our house! I never realized how much I disliked that room until I looked back at this post and was reminded. Only 2 days without the pink and I have already cancelled all my appointments with the psychiatrist. I don’t run by her room anymore for fear of something reaching out, hauling me into room and devouring me. My blood pressure is down to an all time low. I don’t need my glasses anymore. My daughter is making straight A’s. Food is tasting better. My son gave ‘ME’ 10 bucks. I won the lottery. I lost 10 pounds. I’m down 3 stokes on my golf average. I understand the Theory of Relativity.
