I sort of expected a little assist from my son today. He had to go to work. Here I was with this heavy heavy heavy furniture and bulk pick up is tomorrow. I had to scoot furniture this way and that. I got the carpet and trim out about 1/2 hour ago. My son can help me clear the room before I start painting. I’m tired – I finished up an upholstery job and started this. The beautiful thing is – I started. Another room will soon be finished.

I’m off to Houston for the weekend. I’ll just clean up and paint in the after work hours and hopefully I’ll be ready for flooring next weekend. I hope Martha doesn’t hate me by then.

So far so good. I think my wife has picked out the paint colors. The ceiling and crown molding are painted. Unless my wife changes her mind, I paint the walls tomorrow. Tuesday, I begin acclimating the flooring. Saturday, I’ll be on my knees. Yeehaa – sort of.

I’m ready for the weekend so I can get the flooring laid. In the meantime, I had a little time to cope the baseboards. What a thrill! Ok, maybe not. At least it’s out of the way and it will save me a bit of time on the back end. If I could just save a little more time on this side, I might be able to finish this weekend. Unless of course one of you wants to come over? ;)
