Here is an aerial view of my property from
).
Somewhere in the house I have a picture of the house prior to our renovations.
Originally the house was “one room” deep. We pretty much doubled the size by adding a living room and bathroom downstairs, 2 bedrooms upstairs and the basement area which is now our woodworking shop.

Hi Ms. Debbie,
I want to know what your hiding behind that blacked out area. Must be good!
Looks like “home sweet home” to me.
What’s a Zen Garden?

pyschic, psychotic.. same origins, yes?
The blacked out area is just a block I added to indicate our latest shed (I blogged about it at LJ I think). At the time this photo was taken the shed had not been built yet.
“Zen” Garden … those gardens of rock and sand.. you’ll have to do a search to find a photo of a real one.
For me, I have an area of sand which is slowly disappearing because I’m using it in my paths I’m creating through my yard :)
It just has a peaceful feel to it and because of the sand people call it a Zen garden.

oh and I see missed a label.. there is a line of grey above the pool area: that’s our wood pile for our bonfire breakfasts.

that’s a great idea!
Now have you had a bonfire “breakfast” yet?? Once you start – you’ll be addicted! They are wonderful.
Our two.. no three.. no four night owl youth may grumble about the time but all the while they are smiling and laughing and enjoying the morning.

Nice lay out. GoogleEarth is great. I’m waiting for them to update the photos. I think the one of where my house is must be about 5 years old. I started building a little over 2 years ago, so right now I’ve just got a good “before” picture.

You know if I looked down and saw this view, I’d be screaming… ‘cause it would mean that I’d lost my seat on the plane. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaa!!! I’m aiming for the pool… hope there’s water in it.

Great idea using Google Earth as an illustration. I’ve never seen anyone do that before. What a valuable tool it is though. By the way, what’s with the yellow push pin sculpture on your roof?

JC you are in trouble—the pool isn’t even up let alone with water…. but it’s sand! Still the best spot to land.
haha yellow push pin sculpture :)
that’s so I can always find my way home!
