So I was one of the winners here on the HomeRefurbers site on the “Mirror Mirror Challenge” with a “Non-Mirrored” medicine cabinet entrĂ©e.

But best of all Karson offered to donate one of his beautiful boxes for the winners. And now 1 year later, TADA, here is the box.

Personally signed by Karson.

Here is the Zebra Box that you won in the Mirror, Mirror Challenge.

The Challenge for me was getting it shipped on time. I failed miserably. The boxes were done and I taught a workshop on making these boxes at our woodworking club. So I figured that I’d take them to the workshop to have some finished boxes for the class participants to see what could be done.

After the class they were put in a box and put away, to be found 1 yr later.

I hop that this doesn’t diminish your reward for winning.

The box has a Zebra top. The front and back are Ribbon Sapele, the bottom is Genuine Mahogany, and the ends are Goncalo Alves from Central America

Thanks Karson, and a box like this can come years to late and is still as welcome as the day it was made.

Awesome story and great medicine chest. I’d keep that box forever. The Zebra wood is stunning. Karson did a fantastic job.

I’ll second that. I was one of the winners too. Karson’s box, similar to yours arrived the other day. Beautifully built and nicely finished. The wife snapped it up almost before I could get a good look at the inside.

Thanks Karson….

I think the delay makes the story even better!

My hat is off to Karson and to our challenge winners of course!

Thanks for sharing the story and pictures with us.
