Hi all, I left LJs a while back since I wasn’t able to be an active member. While I asked Martin to remove all my previous postings on LJs, I expected the same thing would happen for this site. However all my old postings are still here and since I have done so much work on the house I thought I would start updating the old projects under my new login name.
I will reference my old postings when submitting any new update.
Basically, my wife and I have retired, we moved from San Diego to Brookings, OR. We ended up completely remodeling our house in SD and now rent it out. We also did some cosmetic upgrades to our house in Or before moving into it.
I will also post some items on the GT website since our place in OR has so much gardening to maintain.

3fP, Happy New Year ! Why do you think you can’t still be a Lumberjock ?

“Hi all, I left LJs a while back since I wasn’t able to be an active member.”
I guess I misunderstood your statement, 3fP. Sorry.

Dusty, no worries, I guess I should clarify my statement. When I left LJs it was because I decided I wasn’t going to be an “active” member, as in since I was no longer going to be doing any woodworking and probably not planning on returning to the website. I just felt it was best to leave since I wasn’t going to be what I considered an active contributing member. I am sorry for the confusion and hope this clears it up.
Take care,
Pat

No problem : )
I’m just glad that you weren’t injured or ill , as being the reason for leaving LJs : )
I’m kind of in a rut as far as woodworking goes. New job, not enough hours in the day, some minor health issues, all add up to no time to be in the shop. I can’t give up on it totally though. Too much invested in tools and products , lumber, etc..
I hope the new year is treating you well : )
Take care, Pat.

Well, I am injured and is one of my reasons for not woodworking for a while. I am waiting to get a referral for another surgery on my shoulder and I need another surgery on my wrist. My injuries as well as remodeling two houses and moving were all the reasons I left LJs. I just didn’t have time for LJs or woodworking. I did document all the work we accomplished on the house, and I will be posting that soon. I did pick up some lumber to make a new Roubo workbench for our OR house, so I started a blog on LJs the other day. I hope to make some progress on it before the surgeries sideline me for many months.
I agree with you about the tools, I am in the same position, plus I enjoy woodworking to much to stop ;0)
Happy New. Year to you as well.
Pat
