Somewhere over the rainbow…... lights, camera, color...did someone say color….remember Mr. and Mrs. H had 1, yes 1 color over the entire house..the evil designer, Mrs. M…put 5 yes FIVE colors in the kitchen dinning room area…...Mr. H wanted to know where the “Working Girls” where he’s so funny…....

As you can see by the pictures…we also installed a 3.25 in. tavern grade cherry floor…or like I like to call it “Wild Cherry” they look great….

Ok remember back a bit with all the colors and when Mr. H asked about the girls…....
Well the next day we show up to work and Mrs. H is coming out of the new kitchen area with an eye patch on looking like this…..
Photobucket

They ”said” wink wink, she had and eye problem and the doctor told her to wear the patch that it would help with her sight issues…..so I’m thinking ok dr said the eye patch but what about the rest of the outfit…mmmmmm…..I’m not saying “roll playing” my wife won’t let me say that…..but all I know is Mr. H has never seemed happier and he keeps singing pirate songs…...and asking me if we can install a plank of off the island and if I had a skull and cross bones flag….........

Wow. Your little “kitchen redo” turned into quite the project. Coming along nicely. Love the colors. (And the laughs).

as soon as the drywall photo showed up, my eyes lit up and I said, “oooooooooh”

I LOVE cherry. “some day” I’m going to have cherry flooring in my house, too. ((singing “dream, dream, dream”)

the colours are gorgeous, so rich and inviting.

Todd – great job so far. The flooring is awesome. The color palette used sure beats the white! Isn’t it nice when you can gut everything and start fresh?

thanks for the comments….....yes a redo if you will….........the photos do not do the floor justice…the different colors are crazy…it amazes me the one kind of wood can produce so many different colors….I wish I could take credit for the colors but I’m not good at picking out other peoples colors….the Evil Designer, Mrs. M does a great job at that…

I admire the way you play with natural light. Before the kitchen is gloomy and not enough natural light coming in. But after the make over the kitchen breathes a different life. Very genius make over.

Hi Todd, you sure did a great job mate! I love your floors, can you share with us what you used to seal the floor and have it shine so lovely?
