Just started to repair drywall after a small roof leak that was caught quickly. I only need to replace a small section of drywall and I’m wondering about prep. I have a couple places where the white paper has peeled off the board when I was scraping and I know that might flash thru when I paint. Is there a good pre-mud treatment for that? How well will mud and tape adhere to the paint around the repairs?
