An Oregon transplant living in the southern part of Sweden. I am a sculptor/artist, presently renovating a mid to late 1800's adobe brick house. After 4 years of working on it, I'm about to finish the house this Winter (2011-12).

My wood and ceramic studio in the large barn has been built through this renovation, bare minimum at the time, but well enough to begin producing tiles for the finish work in the house.

Gardening is also taking a large part of my time, and I love it!

I like your story, Rick. Nice sculptures, you should post some of them. People here would appreciate them.

I biked though Sweden, starting in Holland, on a ten speed 35 years ago. I went to Upsala, visiting an uncle. Beautiful country. He had a sheep farm. My job there was cleaning out the sheep stable, and spread the manure in the field. This is how I earned my stay. Good memories.

Welcome aboard.

Thanks PaBull,

Yes, Sweden is a beautiful country… I have certainly fallen in love with her. Once this house is completed and I have a little more non-work focused time in my life, I probably add some of the sculptural additions to the house and property as you suggested. Course some of that time I speak of will be to carve and construct said sculptures…lol

rick….southern Sweden
