I do a little remodeling for others, I’m retired and my own house will be sold before I finish the stuff I’m doing here. This was my deck redo from a few years ago. The funny thing was out of the 5 guys I asked to help get the hot tub raised 4 asked if I was going to take the water out, that’s the truth I swear. We put the bottom of the tub against a couple 2 X 10’s from the lower deck to the upper on an angle, 3 guys lifted and pushed the tub up and three of us were catchers so to speak, as the tub was raised the 2 X 10’s pivoted and slid into place. it went much easier than anyone ever thought it would. The right side of the house is mostly shop with one bay used as garage space in the winter, I built that part a year after I bought the house.

That goes beyond your basic deck…..the support for that hot tub has got to be terffic. Great job….looks like it may overlook a lake ? The view must be outstanding….enjoy it !

Thanks folks. I live on the Mississippi 5 miles up from the last hard dam on the river, it’s 50 miles up river to the next one, the view is really good as is the fishing.
The footing’s go down to 52”s and the tub area is on 2 X 10’s on 16”s with 3 doubles under the tub. It don’t move. My neighbor 2 doors down has a huge deck, when I was building mine he came over and mentioned something about “deck wars”.

This deck work was certainly no easy feat! After asking five guys to help get the hot tub raised, four of them asked if I was going to take the water out – a hilarious reminder of the task at hand. Although the task was daunting, it went much easier than anyone ever thought it would. real estate services Orlando The thought and care that went into the construction of the deck and the shop on the right side of the house is remarkable. It is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the many people involved in the project.
