it seems ive had a run on t & g wood ceilings this past year , some outdoor and some indoor . this is an outdoor job . it cypress t & g 5 in . on the face . thier painter stained and clearcoated before i installed . in the third pic you can see i used the leftovers to reface the grill and cabinets and retrimed the closet door as well . the white outlines are where i profiled the edges and the painter has since stained it in . (hopefully ) lol
previously it was ruff cedar

this is OUTdoor?? OH wow.. gorgeous.
stunning (and i love that fan!)

Reminds me of a little house that we lived in for a short time. Then small and low-ceilinged rooms were all dark tongue and groove wood. Absolutely GORGEOUS… (don’t read on if you have a weak heart).. we moved out because the landlord was tearing the house down. He said we could take whatever we wanted… and even though the wood was amazing,.. it remained in the house and went up in smoke.)

Hi Verne;

Your work is inspiring.

What I’ve seen so far shows a good deal of thought went in before the first nail.

I’d like to post some of my construction pictures, but they might have been on a computer that fried.

I have to see if I have backups anywhere.

Lee

That’s one of those outside living areas from the HGTV show “Outdoor Spaces”. Right? That a great job. The only thing about looking at your work, I thought I had everything figured out for my house, but now I keep getting these new ideas. Keep the post coming!

I love the cypress. As always, great job, MrTrim.

I would love to rebuild my kitchen in cypress. It seems hard to find in Central Florida where there use to be a lot of mills. Did they cut it all up? No mills that I can find either. Any suggestions on where I might find some locally? I’m over here in Haines City.
