In house that we flipped, we redid the fireplace brick had been painted so we cut the face or 1st layer of brick off and re bricked it putting in a arch with a mirror and built a new mantel. -- Todd- Oak Ridge, TN

MRTRIM After we cut the face/first row of brick off we bricked up to a point and just set this old square mirror we had laying around that was left in the house when we bought it and bricked over it.

We put a diamond blade on a circular saw, calked a couple of lines on each side, used a respirator and went to town….
