Front Doorway and Porch Work

I had to replace the front doorway jamb due to needing to have the living room get new drywall and plaster added to the existing walls (will be covered in a different project post). The old door jamb no longer worked with the new wall thickness.

Here is the old jamb assy:

And the new assy which came from HD and had to be disassembled and cut down to size to fit the opening:

Next I refinished the front door (no pics) and then had to replace several porch deck boards due to termite damage, you will also notice that the house has been repainted now (again another future project post):

We decided to go with a darker color for the porch deck boards to provide a nice visual contrast to the new house paint:

Finally, I refinished the screen door and added a new doorbell switch and house numbers:
