promised wife a front porch for some time now, so figured i’d try to get it done before the snow flies. lucky we had a very long warm fall and late winter!!! had to tear out one of my favorite trees to put in the post hole footers. then hit the down spout drains that ran 9’ from the house in a line through my footers. got it done in time, ... now just needs the posts and the lower trim painted.

Love the porch; it looks terrific. I’ve been thinking of adding a front porch for some time now, this might be just the inspiration I needed.

That is an amazing job! The detail on the porch is amazing too – it totally changes the whole look and feel of the house! Wish you could replant the tree now it’s completed though!
