folding chair hangers

My water heater went out so I cleared out my furnace room so a new water heater could be installed. I had many folding chairs in that room just leaning against the wall. which occasionally slid down to the floor. I decided to build some chair hangers using 1/2” pipe (12” long) along with a 1/2” pipe flange and a pipe cap. I centered the mtg flange first to a 3/4×6” x 20” long board. Mounted this board to the wall making sure I hit studs. 2 screws per side 2 1/2 to 3 ’ long. The bracket will hold 6 folding chairs.

Nice improvement, Stan. I need to make a couple of these as well.

It’s amazing what a little frustration can do for cleaning up your storage rooms eh! Haha! I know a lot of my own DIY jobs in the home for organization have stemmed from frustration when I’m looking for things around my own storage shed. And they’ve been the most needed fixes at the end of the day sometimes!
