The kitchen in our starter home was definitely showing it’s age when we moved in. We were just starting out and money was tight so we chose to have the cabinets refaced instead of splurging for new ones. The company took care of the cabinets and countertops and my wife and I removed the old tile and installed the new floor.
Edit: I added a third picture from after the reface was completed but before we replaced the flooring just to show that I didn’t turn it into a dark cave.. but the light was turned off in the second photo :)

Isn’t it too dark ? Or it’s just because the photo is dark?

The light is turned off in the 2nd picture. That was our starter home and we have moved three times since that photo was taken so I didn’t have the ability to take a new photo. I only used the dark photo since it had the same view of the “before” photo and had the new flooring. But yes, if that was as bright as it got it would not be a very useful kitchen :). The same light is present in the second photo and there are under cabinet lights, they are just not turned on.
..I added a third picture from after the reface was complete but before we replaced the tile floor.

Unusual cabinet on the right of the picture, attached to the ceiling and wall at the rear of it, or just the wall?
(Refurb looks good by the way)

Yes.. that was a strange cabinet setup. It’s attached to the wall and the ceiling. We wanted to shorten the height of it to about half, but it just wasn’t in the budget. There are cabinet doors on both sides. Not ideal but we had to work within our budget,
