the 2 pics are from a job i did for my sons shop teacher
he showed me some pics in a magazine and ask if i could build it for his new house
we had a meeting at the house and he ask if i could do it again
and my answer a was
“if you can pay for it i will” into the shop i went and made up drawings and material list and in two weeks of 12 hr days this was the result including the refurbished lamp from a 1904 luxury railcar wich the teacher had aquired to be used on this railing
all components were custlom made by myself no off the shelf parts
sorry about the pics but i had to take them of the original pics and have no way to get rid of the flash glare
if you have a idea let how to fix this let me know

Bounce your flash into a white or silver umbrella or piece of white card stock instead of directly at the photo to eliminate the glare. The steps are beautiful, by the way. Nice work.

Very nice. I like the posts with contrasting designs.

Great job on the stairs. Pat yourself on the back for that job. On the flash problem, I set my camera on auto and turn the flash off. I make some pretty good photos like that. Surprising how little light it takes with digital cameras.

I have seen the picture of this stair you have shared look at here here. No doubt making that kind of one is a challenge. If you are doing the renovation, the task was really hectic. I am looking here for more updates regarding it. Keep up the good work.
