Did this a couple years ago as part of an entire backyard landscaping project. After installing the rock retaining wall and flagstone patio I decided the existing deck, built prior to our purchase, was a poorly constructed eye sore and needed to go. I wanted to make something artistic and functional. Used composite decking and enough stainless steal hardware to insure that this will be standing way longer than I will ever live at the house. Also put LED lights in the steps which tie into the low voltage system that I installed. A really nice effect all the way around.
I spend most of my time over on lumberjocks but someone suggested that I share this over here, so here it is. I will try to post some picks of the flagstone patio, rock retaining wall, lighting and pond w/stream when I get a chance.

Very nice work. What type of clips did you use for the decking?

I used stainless steel finish screws, and the nature of the composite decking being plastic and wood the turn up of material, dont cut it off leave it attached, allows you to take a hammer and fold it back into the hole, and with just a little finesse you can take and form it to fill the screw hole. Turns out really well, can barely see the holes.
