Whenever possible, I like to let you know in advance when there will be changes in the community.

You will be seeing some changes in the right sidebar (it will be wider) where the ads are shown. This will help prevent issues we have seen at times with ads overlapping. This should not impact the width of our content areas.

You will also be seeing some double underlined links throughout the community. If you hover over them with your mouse, you will see an ad.

As you all know, running a site costs money and advertisements pay for that. We don’t want to overwhelm the community but are finding ways to balance the amount of ads and their placements. We are also working on
finding the best fit for everyone involved. It’s not a perfect process and there will be discussion and disagreement with anything that is changed – that’s just human nature.

Thank you for understanding.

Some time ago this site was flooded with spam and ads for questionable personal services. Someone, I assume you, has done a good job making changes to weed that crap out. Now the site is useful again. I had all but given up on it. If a few minor inconveniences like this come with the clean territory, I for one, am grateful.
