You can add colorants to any glaze product to alter the tint. Just go slowly and test it as you go. -- Beth, Oklahoma, Rambling Road Designs |

If you told me what you are using it for, and on, I might be able to help you. |

the Ralph Lauren Tea stain color glaze is what I used over antique white paint in my Victorian bathroom. I need to make some repairs in there and will need to blend it. I also wanted to try antiquing my brick fireplace. to soften the brick color. I tried dry brushing them with acrylic paint and it helped..but I thought an antiquing might soften the whole effect..including the mortar lines… |

I use, almost exclusively, glaze made by “Becker Acroma” and its called “Neutral New/Stain Glaze”. It is an industrail product so its possible they might not sell it to you. If youGoogle the above mfg., they will point to a dealer near you. In the event that doesnt work, then try a small, Mom and Pop type paint store thats sells Ralph Lauren Products and they will order in what you need. Acrylic paints work in a pinch, but I water them down 25% with water. I apply with a brush or staining pad, then remove with clean, lint free cotton rags. |
