Well, that might work, but with it being a combo use facility, the change in temp and humidity will make for a moisture wicking situation. Around here, we use sill gasket under all lumber to prevent moisture wicking. Also, you have to use treated lumber here anytime you are touching concrete. If it were me, I would use tapcons to hold the bottom plate to the cement. Also, the foam sill gasket will keep anything from migrating either in or out of the shop. Tapcons make small holes but will hold a lot more than a dab of glue. One every couple of feet will do the trick. Also, if you bump the wall with Tapcons holding it, you wont have to worry about it being knocked out of position.

The basement/garage is air-conditioned so I don’t have a moisture problem there. However, the house is built on a wet-weather spring. During heavy rains, water comes up between the basement floor (outside the garage door) and driveway and runs across the driveway. Hence, I’m reluctant to drill holes in the floor.
