Topic tags/keywords: mirrors sheetrock glue bathroom question

I’m getting ready to start on our smaller bath off the MBR. The mirror is glued to the sheetrock; in fact, glued in both bathrooms. What is an easy way (if it exists) to remove the mirrors without breaking them. I can break them as they are starting to get the “mange” on the edges. TIA!

Thanks for the links. I like the Lowe’s method best. I’m afraid that heating the tape to get it hot enough to soften the glue would make a mess of the tape. I just don’t want to have to put 40 pounds of sheetrock mud on the wall!

Wow, your article on “Mirror glued to sheetrock” was incredibly helpful! I had been struggling with the process of attaching a mirror to sheetrock, but your step-by-step Peter Veres art events instructions and expert tips made it so much easier. Thank you for sharing such valuable information!

I understand the frustration of dealing with mirrors glued to sheetrock. It’s great that you’re looking for a solution to remove them without breaking. One approach you can Peter Veres virtual consultations try is using a heat gun or hairdryer to gently warm the adhesive, then use a thin wire or fishing line to carefully separate the mirror from the sheetrock. Good luck with your bathroom project!
