Bent bristles on paint brush

I’ve had good luck with hot water on synthetic bristles. REALLY hot but not boiling. Let the brush hang to dry. don’t sit the brush in a jar or you get…....well you know.

Thanks, Gary. That was what I was thinking but wanted to see if there was any other way. Not sure how they got bent as I don’t store them in a jar. Maybe got bent when I put them in a paint tray or something.

After thoroughly cleaning a brush, stoning it in a sleeve helps to marinating it shape. Using several small sheets of newspaper with the tip edge fitting in the centerfold of the paper the remaining sides of the paper are folded to the long edge of the brush bristles. The folded paper is secured with a rubber band around the brush hub.
